Five ways to celebrate National Reading Group Day 2015

Here at Reading Groups for Everyone, we want to shout about the role reading groups and book clubs play in people’s lives and reading journeys. To mark National Reading Group Day on 20 June, in association with the Booksellers Association, we’re celebrating reading groups in libraries, bookshops and communities around the country.

Along with launching our Newcomer competition to find the debut title reading groups are most excited about, we’ve recruited three lucky reading groups to review the winning book and meet the author. We’ll announce the winning title and reading groups on 20 June so be sure to check back. We’d also like reading groups across the country to get involved and celebrate National Reading Group Day in their own way. Here are just a few ideas, you can add your own by leaving a comment below.

1. Tell us what you love about your reading group and share what you are reading this month on Twitter or Facebook using #NRGD15

2. Pop along to your local library or bookshop and join a reading group

3. Check out what is happening at your local library this Saturday to mark the occasion

4.Sign your reading group up to the Reading Groups for Everyone website and discover new books, prizes and exclusive offers

5. Watch out for our Newcomer of the Year announcement on 20 June to find out who will be crowned the debut author reading groups most want to read this year
